ABOUT

MAH MCA CET

(Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for MCA) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State common entrance test Cell (CET CELL) Maharashtra. It is a gateway to pursue the PG program in computer application offered through various institutions across the state of Maharashtra.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Qualifying Exam with Minimum Percentage of Marks:

 

  • Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • With minimum 50% marks in aggregate for open category
  • 45% marks for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/PWD)
  • Candidate should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at    Graduate level.
  • Candidates in their final year of qualifying examination are also eligible.
  • (Direct 2nd Year Admission) Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications or Science (Information Technology / Computer Science) from a recognized university.

Cut off Trends: 135+ (For VJTI and BVBSPIT Mumbai)         

The cut-off scores of MAH MCA CET depend on the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of exam
  • The number of candidates appearing for the examination.
  • Seat availability at participating Institutes.
  • Performance of candidates in the entrance exam.

SELECTION PROCESS:

After writing the MAH MCA CET entrance exam. The CET Cell, Maharashtra organizes MAH-MCA-CET Selection Process (Counselling) through CAP (Centralized Allotment Process). There are three rounds in the CAP. First Two are “Online” while the third one is “Offline” mode.

Step 1 - Register online

 Step 2 - Choice of Filling and Locking

Step 3 - Seat Allotment in online mode

Step 4 - Report online to ARC (Admission Reporting Centre)

Step 5 - Reporting at Allotted Institute with documents and fees.
