About Exam :

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts the RBI Assistant test to identify qualified candidates for the position of Assistant at various RBI branches and sub-offices. This exam allows applicants to join one of India's oldest and largest government organizations.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the leading bank in the country, and it offers opportunities to anyone who choose to pursue a career with the RBI. There is no doubt that if it is a government bank job, the facilities provided by the banks attract everyone's attention to choose a career in banking, but the RBI has a completely different structure of facilities provided such as salary packages, allowances, transportation allowances, house rent allowance, and so on.

Eligibility :

Nationality: The candidate must be either:

i) a citizen of India, or

ii) a subject of Nepal, or

iii) a subject of Bhutan, or

iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Qualification: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates)

Age: The age limit for appearing in this exam is a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years.

 Relaxation Criteria :

Exam Mode: "Online" CBT 

Marking System: (-0.25) negative marking in both prelims and mains for every wrong answer.

Selection will be through Preliminary examination, Main examination and Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

iii) . Language Proficiency Test (LPT) : The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language/s of the State concerned 

Tentative Dates: The RBI ASSISTANT exam is conducted in the month of DECEMBER.
