About Exam :

National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) administers the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctorate (PHD) level law programmes. This is a national level entrance exam for admission to legal programs only at NLU Delhi.

The National Law University in New Delhi administers the ALL INDIA LAW ENTRANCE TEST (AILET) once a year.  NLU Delhi provides a total of 123 seats for B.A. LL.B and 81 seats for LLM. There are almost 25,000 applicants in total for the AILET Exam.
 

NLU, NEW DELHI does not accept any other entrance exam score except AILET.

ELIGIBILITY:

Educational:

• The candidate must be (10 + 2) passed or equivalent with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40%) in case of SC/ST/PWD category) .

• Candidates appearing for their 10+2 exam may also apply. 

• Foreign national category candidates must 10 + 2 passed or equivalent with minimum 65%

Age: There is no age bar to appear for AILET Exam 

Mode of Exam: offline. 

Exam Duration : 120 Minutes 

Marking System: + 1 marks for the correct answer, - 0.25 is the penalty for wrong answers.

Paper Pattern :

B.A LL.B 

LLM 

• The entrance tests for LL.M. Programme will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based only.
• The test paper will consist of 100 MCQs with each question carrying 1 mark.
• All the 100 MCQs will be from the different branches of Law.
• The duration of the examination will be 120 minutes.
• The criteria for negative marking will be per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted.

Tentative Exam Date: AILET exam is held every year in the month of May.
