Aspirants who are willing to pursue their career in law also needs to come out of top law colleges which will ultimately help them in getting better placements. One has made up a significant career choice by taking up LAW as a career but achieving this is not a piece of cake and to achieve this piece of cake one needs to appear for the entrance exams and score highest to get into top law colleges. Here they have to go through few entrance tests and some are different tests for different colleges.

 It’s a myth that aspirants planning to take up law as a career needs come from an arts background. This was the case a few years back but now there are no restrictions over the aspirants coming from another field. Also, there is the difference between 3 years and 5 years law. Let us go through that..

5 years law program is an integrated course which is for undergraduate students after their 12th and 3 years law is a graduate program which one needs to appear after their graduation.

List of entrance exams for 5 years (After 12th ) :

 CLAT I MH LAW-CET I AILET I LSAT I SLAT I BLAT (BHU LAW) I

Eligibility criteria for 5 years law:

For 5 years law program one needs to have 10+2 or equivalent degree from a recognized university having a minimum of 45% in HSC.

List of entrance exams for 3 years (After Graduation):

MH LAW-CET I SLAT I LSAT I BHU LAW I DU LAW

Eligibility criteria for 3 years law:

for 3 year law, one needs to be a graduate or equivalent from any recognized university with a minimum of 45% in their graduation.

SPECIALIZATION:  

There Is no specialization as such, one has to study all the subjects which are there in their syllabus. People might ask you in which field are you doing your specialization CIVIL OR CRIMINAL??, So guys this stage comes after you become a lawyer not while you are studying in your law school.
