About Exam: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (B.ed-CET) is conducted every year to get into colleges based in Maharashtra. Also known as MAH-B. Ed CET, Government of Maharashtra has established a State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) under Admission Regulatory Authority (ARA). The exam is for a duration of 90 mins for 100 marks. The advantage for students is that there is no negative marking.
There are 2 stages for admission:
Exam mode – It is an online computer-based test, which has multiple-choice questions.

Special Note: Candidates who are born in Maharashtra or domiciled in Maharashtra and have Graduated from the University within the State of Maharashtra will only be considered as Maharashtra State Candidate
OR
The Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree recognized as an equivalent degree by the Government of Maharashtra, to the Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in subjects mentioned in (i) and (ii) above.
OR
The candidate should have passed any Bachelor’s Degree given by Open University Incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature.
OR
The candidate should have appeared for the Final Year Examination of any Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. (Candidates are advised to refer to Subject Specialization Table given in the Information Brochure before filling in the online application)
Educational Qualification for Outside Maharashtra State Candidates (All India Candidature and J&K Migrant Candidates:-
The Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed any Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate degree awarded by any of the Universities in corporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC Act,1956 of Minimum 3 years duration of Any Discipline recognized by the Association of the Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent Qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India/NCTE with Minimum 55% Marks for all Categories all Subjects and all Faculties.
Special Note:- Candidates who are not born in Maharashtra or domiciled in Maharashtra and have Graduated from the University within the State of Maharashtra will e considered as OMS/ All India Candidate.
3. Age Criteria: - There is no upper age limit for admission to MAH-B.Ed. CET Examination
