About BHMCT Exam

The BHMCT full form is Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. BHMCT is a 3-year undergraduate course that can be chosen by candidates who want to build a career in the hospitality industry. To get admission to BHMCT, candidates must appear for the relevant entrance exams and qualify. MAH BHMCT CET is conducted once a year.

BHMCT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

To pursue BHMCT, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria. These criteria are put in place to ensure that students have the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the programme. The eligibility criteria for BHMCT are as follows:

Aspirants can pursue the BHMCT course right after completing their Class 12.
Students from any stream, that is, Humanities, Commerce, or Science, can pursue a Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
Apart from this, some colleges have additional eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfil if they want to secure admission to the BHMCT course.
As part of the BHMCT eligibility criteria, candidates should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their Class 12 exams (45% for Maharashtra-based reserved categories). Another criterion that aspirants usually need to fulfil to secure admission to this course is that they should have studied English in Class 12.

BHMCT 2027 Paper Pattern

Qualifying the MAH BHMCT CET will lead to admission in all Government Aided Institutes and all Un-Aided MHMCT Institutes of Maharashtra offering the 3-year Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology course. The exam pattern for this common entrance test is as follows:

Mode: The exam is held as a computer-based test.
Language of the Question: All questions in the exam are asked in English only.
Total Number of Questions: The exam shall have a total of 100 questions.
Total Marks: The maximum number of marks in the exam is 100.
Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the exam.
Marks per Question: Each question in the exam carries 1 mark.
Time Duration: Candidates have to finish the exam in 90 minutes.

BHMCT 2027 Marking Scheme

MAH BHMCT CET does not have negative marking. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded to the candidate, but no marks are deducted for wrong answers or unattempted questions.
The total marks of BHMCT CET are 100, and candidates need not worry about making incorrect attempts.
They must, however, avoid randomly selecting options as correct answers. They should take time to understand the question before choosing an option.

BHMCT 2027 Selection Process

A significant number of colleges and universities offer admission to the BHMCT course through entrance examinations. Some colleges also offer direct admission based on the scores achieved in the last qualifying examination.
Students can apply to the course once they have fulfilled all the eligibility requirements.
They need to appear for the relevant entrance examinations and meet the cut-off required by their desired college.
After clearing the entrance examinations, students can apply for the counselling session and choose a college based on their cut-off score. Some colleges may also conduct aptitude tests, personal interviews or group discussions.
After choosing the college, they can submit the course fees along with the required documents to complete the admission process.

BHMCT 2027 Registration Fee

The application fee for general category candidates is INR 1000.
The application fee for reserved category candidates is INR 800.
