The BHMCT full form is Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. BHMCT course is a 4-year UG course that can be chosen by candidates who want to make a future in the Hospitality industry. To get admission to BHMCT, candidates must make sure to sit for entrance exams and qualify. MAH BHMCT CET is conducted once a year.

BHMCT 2025 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To pursue BHMCT, candidates must meet certain BHMCT eligibility criteria. These criteria are put in place to ensure that students have the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the program. The eligibility criteria for the BHMCT are as follows:

  • Aspirants can pursue the BHMCT course right after completing their Class 12.
  • Students from any stream, that is, HumanitiesCommerce, or Science can pursue a Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
  • Apart from this, some colleges have additional eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfill if they want to secure admission to the BHMCT course. As part of this BHMCT eligibility criteria, candidates should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their Class 12 exams. Another criterion that aspirants usually need to fulfill to secure admission in this course is that they should have studied English in Class 12.  

BHMCT 2025 PAPER PATTERN

Qualifying the MAH BHMCT CET will lead to admission in all Government Aided Institutes and all Un-Aided MHMCT in Institutes of Maharashtra offering 4 years bachelor of hotel management and catering technology course. The exam pattern for this common entrance test is as follows:

  • Mode: The exam is held as a Computer-based test
  • Language of the question: All questions in the exam are asked in English only
  • Total number of questions: The exam shall have a total of 100 questions
  • Total marks: The maximum number of marks in the exam is 100
  • Negative marking: There is no negative marking in the exam
  • Marks per question: Each question in the exam carries 1 mak
  • Time duration: Candidates have to finish the exam in 90 mins

BHMCT 2025 MARKING SCHEME

  • MAH BHMCT does not have negative marking. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded to the candidate but no marks are deducted for wrong answers or unattempted questions.
  • The total marks of HM CET are 100 and candidates need not worry about making incorrect attempt.
  • They must however avoid random selection of options as correct answers. They should take time in understanding the question and then choose the option. 

BHMCT 2025 SELECTION PROCESS

  • A significant number of colleges and universities offer admissions to the BHMCT course through entrance examinations. Some colleges also offer admissions directly based on the scores achieved in the last qualifying examination. 
  • Students can apply to the course once they have fulfilled all the eligibility requirements of the course.
  • They need to appear for relevant entrance examinations and meet the cutoff required by their desired college
  • Once clearing the entrance examinations, students can apply for the counselling session and choose the college based on their cutoff score.
  • Some colleges may also conduct aptitude tests, personal interviews or group discussion.
  • After choosing the college, they can submit their course fees along with the required documents to be eligible for the admissions.

BHMCT 2025 REGISTRATION FEE

  • The application fee for general category candidates is INR 800.
  • The application fee for reserved category candidates is INR 600.
