• Candidates who have cleared their 12th class examination from any national or state board of education are eligible to apply for SLAT 2027.


• Candidates must have acquired a minimum of 45% in their exam. Candidates from the SC/ST category can apply if they have a minimum of 40%.


• Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to the submission of a passing certificate at the time of the final admission.

According to the official SLAT marking scheme

• There is no negative marking in the exam for wrong answers.


• Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer.

There are three stages in the SLAT 2027 Admission Process. The following are the stages:-

• Aptitude Test- First, the students must qualify the SLAT 2027 exam, to qualify the aptitude test the students have to clear the SLAT cutoffs set for the year 2027.


• Written Ability Test (WAT)- Once the students have cleared the aptitude test, the students get shortlisted for the WAT. In the WAT round, the candidate is given a topic on which he/she has to write certain number of words. This round tests your writing skills, command on language, your subject knowledge, etc.


• Personal Interview- The candidates who qualify the WAT round gets qualified for the final round, i.e., the Personal Interview (PI) round. PI tests your communication, confidence, general awareness, persuasion skills, and subject knowledge. The student who qualify all the three rounds of the SLAT Admission Process gets admitted into Symbiosis Law School (SLS).
