To get
admission in TISS, there are two
important examinations the students must be aware of, they are CUET and CAT.
CUET is
Common University Entrance Examination and CAT is Common Admission Test, both
are National level examinations and computer based test with multiple choice
questions.

Programmes
The following Master’s Degree Program are based on CUET PG Entrance Exam Score:
M.A in Social Work, LLM,Social Entrepreneurship, Labour Studies and Practice, Development Studies, Women’s studies, Education, Education and Technology, Media and Cultural studies.
M Sc in
Environment, climate change and sustainability studies, Water policy and
Governance, Urban policy and Governance,Disaster Management, Master of Library
and Information Science.
The CUET PG Entrance Exam 2026 examination is conducted by NTA and the notifications regarding examination schedule are published in the official website of NTA (https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/) by the end of December 2025 .
The
tentative schedule for CUET PG 2026 will be as follows:
1. Registration will start from 1st week of January – till 2nd week of February
2. The CUET-PG exam will be conducted in a computer-based
format (CBT), beginning from 2nd Week of March – till 1st Week of April

The NTA
shall announce result
on first week of May, the candidates
can download their score card from the official website https://cuetpg.ntaonline.in/scorecard/index
The
CUET(PG) brochure of TISS says the
hundred percentage weightage will be given to CUET score and there will
not be any personnel interview or other assessment .
TISS select candidates through the CAT Entrance Exam score for the
following program:
Admissions to the M.A. in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations and M.A. in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership will be based on 95% CAT score and 5% weightage for gender diversity.
These are the most sought after

CAT 2026 examination is conducted by IIMs (Indian
Institutes of Managements) in November.
1. CAT registration start from 1st Week of August – till 2nd Week of September.
2. Tentative examination schedule is 3rd Week of November till 4th Week of November.
3. The results for CUET-PG are expected to be declared in the second week of January. Stay tuned for the official announcement.
4. Post qualifying the CAT examination candidates have to undergo Online Assessment (OA).
5. The weightage for M A HRM & LR and M A ODCL is 95 percentage CAT score and 5 percentage for Gender diversity. The female and transgender candidates will be awarded extra 5 marks.
6. The minimum CAT (percentile) cut off for the year 2024 was 70 for General Category, KM,EWS ,63 for OBC non-creamy layer and 55 for SC/ST candidates.
7. For the final merit list, the weightage was distributed as 70 % from CAT score, 10 % from Graduation Marks, and the remaining 20 % from Online Interview.
8. For the Master of Health Administration (MHA), the selection process includes 90% weightage for CAT, 5% for gender diversity, and 5% for academic diversity.
9. The minimum
CAT (percentile) cut off for the year 2024 was 65 for General Category,KM,EWS,
59 for OBC non-creamy layer and 48 for SC/ST candidates
