What is RBI Assistant Recruitment?
RBI Assistant exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for the post of Assistant across its various branches in India. Selected candidates are initially posted in RBI’s office within the recruitment zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred in administrative exigencies to centres grouped and classified into West, South, North, and East Zone offices in India. RBI Assistant is one of the most sought-after banking exams in the country. The selection process includes preliminary and mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

RBI Assistant exam pattern is such that it comprises three papers-English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The test paper carries a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The time allotted to solve each section is 20 minutes. RBI Assistant exam pattern is given below.

Candidates who qualify the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. The mains exam carries questions based on Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The duration of the test is 135 minutes. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The test paper carries a total of 200 questions. The structure of the mains exam is given below.

Candidates qualifying the mains exam are required to undergo the language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test is conducted in the Official/Local Language of the state candidates have applied for. Candidates not proficient in the Official / Local Language are disqualified from the selection process. Therefore, candidates should be able to speak and write the language of the state they have appeared for.
Candidates are required to pay INR 450 (For General and OBC candidates) and INR 50 (For SC/ST/PWD candidates) as their application fee. Candidates can pay their application fees online using net banking/credit/debit cards. The structure of application fee is given below.
