What is RBI Assistant Recruitment?
RBI Assistant exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for the post of Assistant across its various branches in India. Selected candidates are initially posted in RBI’s office within the recruitment zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred in administrative exigencies to centres grouped and classified into West, South, North, and East Zone offices in India. RBI Assistant is one of the most sought-after banking exams in the country. The selection process includes preliminary and mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

RBI Assistant Prelims Exam Pattern

RBI Assistant exam pattern is such that it comprises three papers-English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The test paper carries a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The time allotted to solve each section is 20 minutes. RBI Assistant exam pattern is given below.

RBI Assistant Mains Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. The mains exam carries questions based on Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The duration of the test is 135 minutes. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The test paper carries a total of 200 questions. The structure of the mains exam is given below.

RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test

Candidates qualifying the mains exam are required to undergo the language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test is conducted in the Official/Local Language of the state candidates have applied for. Candidates not proficient in the Official / Local Language are disqualified from the selection process. Therefore, candidates should be able to speak and write the language of the state they have appeared for.



RBI ASSISTANT 2024 MARKING SCHEME:


The table below summarizes some of the key aspects of the NMAT by GMAC exam.

    The marking scheme of RBI Assistant is given below:

  • For every correct answer, candidates score one mark.

  • There are also RBI Assistant negative marking for incorrect answers, 0.25 marks are deducted.

  • There is no weightage for LPT. Candidates must be able to speak, write and understand the local language of the state they have applied for Candidates need to qualify the LPT or else they are not considered for the recruitment exam.


RBI ASSISTANT 2024 SELECTION PROCESS:


Filling the Application Form

    RBI Assistant application form is released on the official website for the specified time period. Candidates can fill and submit the application form online. Any graduate applicants can apply for the exam. The steps to fill RBI Assistant application form are explained below:

  • Visit the official website of RBI

  • Click the registration link available on the home page

  • To register, candidates need to enter the basic details

  • Upon successful registration, the user ID/registration number and password are generated

  • Candidates need to upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature

  • Once the scanned images of the photograph and signature are uploaded, candidates need to fill the detailed application form

  • Once the application form filling is complete, candidates need to pay the examination fees


Issue of Admit Card

    RBI Assistant admit card is released online separately for the preliminary exam and mains exam. Candidates can download the RBI Assistant admit card for each stage online by logging with their registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The steps to download the admit card are given below:

  • Visit the official website of RBI

  • Click the 'RBI Assistant' admit card link on the home page

  • Enter the required credentials such as registration number or roll number and date of birth or password

  • RBI Assistant admit card appears on the screen

  • Download the admit card and save it


Appearing in the Exam

  • All registered candidates need to first appear in the preliminary exam.

  • The test comprises a total of 100 questions and the total marks of the exam are 100.

  • Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. RBI Assistant mains exam comprises a total of five sections, Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Computer Knowledge.

  • The total marks allotted to the test are 200 marks. Those qualifying the mains exam are called for Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

  • LPT is conducted to test whether candidates can read, write, or speak the Local Language of the state/UT.

  • Candidates who are not proficient in the local language are disqualified from the recruitment process.

RBI ASSISTANT 2024 REGISTRATION FEE:


Candidates are required to pay INR 450 (For General and OBC candidates) and INR 50 (For SC/ST/PWD candidates) as their application fee. Candidates can pay their application fees online using net banking/credit/debit cards. The structure of application fee is given below.
