SBI PO 2024 SELECTION PROCESS
The SBI PO selection process consists of three stages: Phase I (preliminary), Phase II (main), and Phase III (psychometric test, interview, and group exercises). To begin, all enrolled candidates must take the Phase I preliminary examination. Candidates are selected for the mains exam based on their performance in the preliminary exam. Candidates who pass the mains exam are summoned to Phase III. The candidates at the top of the aforementioned merit list are shortlisted for the Main Examination 10 times (approximately) the number of openings in each category. Candidates from the top of the category-wise merit list are shortlisted for Phase III at three times the number of openings.
The marks received in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) are not included for producing the final merit list for selection. The marks achieved by applicants in Phase II (Main Examination, both Objective and Descriptive Tests) and Phase III (Group Exercise and Interview) will be normalized to 100 points. The final merit list is determined by averaging (out of 100) the converted marks from Phases II and III. SBI PO selection is determined from the top-ranked candidates in each category.
